A series of graphite drawings on mylar, transcriptions of the 136 chapters of Moby Dick. Each chapter is verbatim, but each word is written on top of the previous word, creating a polished graphite blur. Two books, The Interpretation of Dreams and Moby Dick, that have each been altered, shifting their narratives. Much like how a palimpsest layers and collapses meaning, these narratives have been cut out, one woven back into itself, the other having had every adjective literally removed; both are like memory: there, and not.
